Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging for IBC SOLAR Head Office Staff is one of the ways in which IBC SOLAR is managing resources well - both the human kind and the energy kind. Putting the values around renewable energy, energy self-sufficiency, as well as the company ethos of efficiency and warmth into action, IBC SOLAR is providing staff with more than 10 locations to charge their electric vehicles.

There are 4 x Electric Vehicle charging points in the residential solar carport, and another 7 x Electric Vehicle charging points at Head Quarter offices. Peak solar output for the carport is 125.6kWp, and battery storage is 70kWh.

Most of the power for the office is from a photovoltaic (PV) array generating 24kWp. This energy is then stored in 5 x BYD Battery-Box LV units (13.8kWh capacity each).   6 x Victron Quattro 48/15000 Inverter/chargers supply the loads from the BYD batteries. This system provides the majority of the office's energy needs, and effective peak shaving for well-managed energy usage.

Solar Power specialists IBC SOLAR employ almost 250 staff at the Head Office in Bad Staffelstein, Germany, where for fifteen years IBC SOLAR has been working toward energy self-sufficiency, and as energy philanthropists. Early on in the plans IBC SOLAR took on the challenge of providing Electric Vehicle (EV) charging from Solar Energy. Installations like these are still fairly unusual in Germany, as the electricity grid is highly reliable - energy for self consumption, energy storage and gaining energy self-sufficiency is only now becoming more popular. Once again illustrating IBC SOLAR's commitment to living the brand.
